Hi!

It’s been a moment. Thanks for taking a minute to stop by.

You’ll catch me here when I’m not on Instagram sharing tutorials, refrigerator/home/organization tours, or running my pop-up series ROOM SERVICE by Pink Salt.

The blog has been organized into two sections for vegan and non-vegan items. I write my recipes as practical and nuanced as possible playing to ingredients. I do not consider myself an expert on Thai by any means. I recreate Thai dishes at home while taking advantage of the produce the Midwest has to offer. A lot of it is trial and error while adapting dishes to the availability of things in the midwest. From using brined Thai spices, growing my herbs, shopping Thai/Chinese Markets here, I do my best to adapt without sacrificing the nuances that make Thai food so special. For you that are in Chicago, please check out these wonderful stores Talard Thai, Viet Hoa, and Tai Name and these amazing farmers such as Green Acres Farms, Closed Loop Farms, and Froggy Meadow Farms.

As always, I cannot thank you enough for your support over the years. Cooking has always been my dream. Being able to educate and share my knowledge of Thai culture was a secondary outcome that I did not know I could do. I thank you for listening and I hope we can bring understanding and empathy during this changing world.

Until we can dine in person again, I hope you get a chance to eat my cooking through your own hands and this squarespace.

Be sure to tag me at @hi.palita and I cannot wait to see your creations.

Love Always,

Palita
